HOW TO EDIT OPERA MINI FULL TUTORIAL MOD AS U WANT

MOD OPERAMINI ON PC requirement:

1.)HxD Hex Editor(PC) or MobileHex/

You will need a
HexEditor and a Opera Mini 4.2 version
(.jar) file. Install the HexEditor application
on your PC.
Now we can start modifying
aOM4.2. jar. For the HexEditor Application.

Just Search On Googleto download
hexeditor. Open your OM4.2. jar with
WinRar (I know everyone knows this
WinRar application). This part youwill learn
how to edit your proxy url of OM4.2
1. For
the proxy url of the OM4.2 to be edit drag
the a.class file on any folder.
2. Start your
HexEditor application and open the a. class
on it.
3. Press Ctr+R (to search and replace)
? server4. operamini.com:1080? and
replace your desired proxy url. In this
tutorial I ?m gonna use the MTN url
( working as of the day I posted this
thread). ? http:// 10.199.212.8@
64.255.164.21:80 /? 4. Click "OK" (not
replace all) because there are2( two)
?server4?? can be found in this file.
5 . It
will turned into red text your edited line.
6. Highlight the red text and take note the ?
Length? that can be found at the bottom
of HexEditorwindow.
7. In this tutorial. I
had a43 in length.
8. Highlight the
character before the red text and select
?Edit? on menu and select ?Fill selection??
9. Click "OK".
10. Save the file and drag back
the a.class to winrar window. Disregard
the a.class.bak
11. Now your done with the
proxy url of your OM4.2 .

1. Drag the f.class on any folder

name has a single character just add

in your Length, your Fill Selection is"04 ". If
you found C in your Length, you Fill
Selection is "0 C". Get it? 8. Save your
project and drag back the f.class to WinRar
window. Disregard the f.class.bakThere are
so many ways modifying a jar application
but this could be the simplest way to
modify for the beginners. The filethat has
the extension name ". bak" are the back-
up files of youredited class file. If you think
that you are not sure with your edition
just rename and delete the ".bak" file and it
will bring back the original ".class" file.


HOW TO EDIT THE NAME
1.) Open the
file in HxD Hex Editor,and search for OPERA
MINI
2.) But here you can change this only
by 10 letters as OPERA MINI=10 words.
3.) You can also change other places and
warnings or notes by searching for it like
LOADING NOTE: But Keep in Mind that keep
the no. of characters same i.e Loading=7.
So keep no. of characters 7. Increasing no.
of characters or inserting bytes will
change file size and result in crashing of
the program.


EDITING OPERAMINI SPLASH SCREEN

REQUIREMENTS
- YOU
- PC (Windows XP or later)
-Winrar
-Fresh OperaMini 4.2
-HxD PC
- Image (your picture, in .png format)
-HexEditor_v1.3


A1. Install the Winrar on your PC, and the HexEditor_v1.3 on your phone.
B1. Extract OperaMini4.2 using Winrar, right click the OperaMini4.2.jar, Extract to OperaMini4.2.
C1. Prepare your Image, my image is 20kb in size and 176x220, you can use Photoshop for advance users, or MSPAINT, common screen size of phones are 176x206, 176x220, and 240x320, just choose which suites your phone, and your Image must be saved as .png format. You can optimized(smaller in filesize) your image by using PNGauntlet or PNGout. Google them if you want.

Here's a sneak peak on the Hxd Application
1. Tabbed window

MODDING PART:

1. Open the YourImage.png and v file in Hxd
2. Click the YourImage.png Tab, press Ctrl+A(to select all) check the Lenght Indicator, jot down its Hex Value; mine is 34AA. Then hit Ctrl+C(to copy).
3. Click the v file Tab, press Ctrl+F (Find), in the Search for: type in png, hit Enter then press F3
In the Text Column, highlight ?�?PNGall the way to IENDÂB`?��, watch closely to the Lenght Indicator, it must be 2d2.






4. Hit Ctrl+V(paste), the Hex and Text column, the texts will be red.
5. Open HexEditor_v1.3 on your phone, Click Menu, ENG Splash Screen. In the PNG Hex Value, put the value of your Image, mine was 34AA. Click Execute.




6. On the HxD, scroll all the way up, we are going to replace these reference value with the values calculated with HexEditor. Just type in the values in the reference value; start to 2C DC until to 38 4B) (refer to the screenshot)





7. Once done, hit Ctrl+S (Save), close Hxd.
8. Now you will notice in the folder of extracted OperaMini42, there will be v.bak, just ignore it.
9. Open OperaMini4.2.jar with Winrar, delete the v file, now you can drag your edited v file inside winrar.



or highlight the whole files inside the OperaMini4.2 folder, Right click, Send to, Compressed Zipped.., and rename that .zip to .jar


All Done!

MODDING PART:


Figure C & D: Find the .jar file you want to mod, Right click it and rename it to .zip, and Extract All..



Open the Ceditor, and follow this steps:
1. Open
2. Locate the class file containing the server string
3. Find the string, and double click it.
4. Paste the trick you want to use.
5. Click OK.
6. Save.

Once done, zip the whole file, then rename the .zip to jar.
Then test your mod. That's it!
